Togetherness

Togetherness…

So, a story… there was this one ‘thing‘…entity…state…the enslaver…the churner of the cogs…some personify this character as Babylon…

Babylon ruled for as long as we could remember…getting more and more powerful…

Babylon entranced so many, made them believe money was the most important thing…turned them into horrible, greedy consumers…the destruction they caused of the very land they lived on, and of their brothers and sisters whom they shared this land with, wasn’t even enough to wake them up…

But there were some…some with their eyes open…those who wanted to be truly free…those who wanted to nurture the land that they owed their very existence to…those who wanted to live at peace with their brothers and sisters so we could share and learn from each other…those who did not want to be controlled by money…those who were searching for truth …those who were not fooled by the web of deceit and lies and fake freedom and false democracy that Babylon had weaved…those who knew that Babylon really didn’t care…those who knew that Babylon would not protect them…those who knew that Babylon only had interest in power and in ruling the world…those who knew that Babylon did not understand love…

So, one of these people was a joker…the joker did all he could to try and lighten Babylon up…to try and make Babylon laugh…to try and bring rejoicing into the land of Babylon…the joker was cracking funny jokes, was juggling, doing circus tricks, acting like a clown, trying to find Babylon‘s funny bone…Babylon did not laugh…Babylon was not amused…Babylon named the joker the fool.

One of these people was wise and learned. They tried to reason with Babylon…tried to educate Babylon…tried to make Babylon see sense…but Babylon would not listen…Babylon invented an education and curriculum that suited the needs of …Babylon. Babylon lies.

One of these people was spiritual. They tried to show Babylon love and compassion. They tried to enlighten Babylon, tried to stop Babylon causing harm to others. Babylon was not scared of anyone or anything.. Babylon felt indestructible and answered to no-one higher. Babylon was boss.

One of these people was full of hatred toward Babylon. They tried knocking Babylon down . They spat on Babylon. Babylon was not inconvenienced at all. Babylon swatted this person like they were a tiny fly. Babylon had spies. Babylon was always one step ahead. Babylon took away even this person fake freedom. Babylon put this person in a cage.

One of these people wanted to show Babylon beauty. They sprayed Babylon with wonderful art and slogans for peace, beautiful colours. Babylon scrubbed away the art. Babylon remained undecorated, grey. Babylon banned the use of free painting in Babylon land. Babylon land remained grey.

One of these people wanted to try and get a message to Babylon through song. They sang songs for peace and justice, hoping that Babylon would listen. Babylon did not hear. Babylon made music and spread it far and wide. Babylon made music to make money. Babylon’s music was banal and suited the needs of …only Babylon.

One of these people captured images, still and moving, to bring to attention how unjust Babylon was. Babylon censored these images. Babylon created an industry where pictures could be distributed if you had money. Babylon made sure the money was not available to the person who wanted to speak out against Babylon. Babylon made them feel like they failed until they gave up and became a cog in the machine. Babylon made sure images that showed Babylon in a favourable light were made. Babylon used images to hypnotize many people into believing they were safe in this world and so they just needed to keep on churning in the machine to stay that way. Babylon, sometimes made them scared so that they would look to Babylon for answers and protection. Babylon tempted them with constant images of shiny things so that they would keep on churning in the machine to get money to own these shiny things. Babylon numbed them so that they stayed in their boxes, staring at boxes with screens and images, so that Babylon could continue the plan uninterrupted.

One of these people marched on Babylon. Used their body to show their opposition to Babylon. The sound of a few footsteps, however, was not enough to grab Babylon’s attention. Was drowned out by the sound of many footsteps, paid by Babylon to fight for Babylon…to kill for Babylon.

One of these people tried to spread the truth about Babylon. Babylon tricked the cogs in the machines into thinking this person was a threat, mad. Babylon locked them up in a hospital and numbed them with medication . Babylon has hidden the truth.

But one day…one day all people will all come together. Join. Unite. Share. One day all people will realize…that we need not be afraid of each other, nor be in competition with each other…
that together we are strong...
Together we can wake up the rest of the cogs in the machine, the automatons.
We are one.
Together we are the revolution.
We will transcend Babylon.
Babylon will cease to exist, will disappear. And we will dance!!!! We will laugh!! We will rejoice. WE WILL BE FREE!!! Bye -bye Babylon,
…the name never to be uttered again!!!

Jcat.
